I've been putting this off a lot because of some hectic schedules but finally I'm in the mood to do it.
I swear this is really one of my all time favorites. The story is nice and the characters are great as in I fell in love with this movie the moment I watched the first scene. The movie is set in the 60's, back when the Beatles was still making music and during the time when USA is in a bit of a political turmoil.
I love the character of Jude, he was such a hottie! he loves his girl and he will really do anything for her, plus I love his eyes, it's very expressive. He's artistic and loving even to his friend, Max.
Lucy on the other hand, was very brave and I love that about her. I mean women should also have a voice over political matters and other subjects as well. She have this drive to make her country a better place in her own little way.
I'm a Jude and Lucy fan in case you haven't noticed yet. haha! seriously, they're so cute together. Evan Rachel Wood and Jim Sturgees was a perfect match! I believe this movie was Jim Sturgees' break, he landed a lot of roles after this one. You cannot say he doesn't deserve it, I do think he played his character well. And I was also surprised to see that Evan Rachel Wood isn't that skinny anymore (forgive me for not being updated on her, but the last time I saw her was in the film "little secrets" and that was way way back). Anyway, her figure suits her better now.
This film is not that popular outside of US but I'd like you to try and watch it. Especially if you're The Beatles fan, you'll enjoy how the film connected the songs into something more significant.
